ABOUT US

Our Story

Dutch Fronts has a double meaning. Let us explain:

Famously, it is a common term for the architectural feature of most buildings in Dutch communities. Typically displayed by a stepped, a-frame roofline, the Dutch front curb-appeal is a common sighting along the local business centers and marketplaces in most Dutch towns.

Not so famously, it is also a long-standing, cultural indiscretion in the Dutch community is to make sure that the "curb-appeal" hides what's going on behind the front door. In other words, you never reveal the normal, every-day, sometimes ugly, sometimes messy, regular stuff that EVERYONE deals with. It's a thing.

Being from the Dutch community ourselves (and being followers of Jesus), we believed that there was a better way forward for our neighbors and friends who struggled with this issue of hiding behind this silly facade. It is clearly evident that there is a great work ethic and honor in each of the businesses we knew and relationships we had and we wanted to help those friends and neighbors reclaim a sense of pride in the wholesome and natural goodness of our shared Dutch heritage.

Dutch Fronts is our attempt at reclaiming that goodness by celebrating the joy of our Dutch heritage. The Dutch Fronts brand helps to give voice to each person by proclaiming their inherent worth and simple beauty in who they are and where they're from. Whether its tulip time or a windmill, Dutch Fronts will help you celebrate your love of all things Dutch and you'll look great doing it!
